Kofax Honored at AIIM Conference & Expo 2007 by Leading Industry Publications - Kofax Intelligent Capture & Exchange Rises to the Top Among AIIM E-DOC Magazine Readers in Forms Processing and Document Imaging Categories

IRVINE, Calif. – April 27, 2007 – Kofax, the world’s largest information capture vendor, today announced that it has been recognized by leading publications in the enterprise content management (ECM) and information technology industries for its innovative Kofax Intelligent Capture & Exchange, the centerpiece of the company’s strategic initiative to enable organizations streamline business processes by capturing documents in the front office, where they originate, and move them in real time to transactional business processes.

“We are pleased and honored that Kofax Intelligent Capture & Exchange has been recognized by these highly respected industry publications and their readers, many of whom represent the top professionals in the ECM industry,” said Rob Klatell, chief executive officer of Kofax’s parent company, DICOM Group. “Our customers and Certified Solution Providers remain our number one commitment, and we are committed to bringing them the most advanced technologies to help solve today’s most challenging information automation challenges.”

AIIM E-DOC Readers Choose Kofax Intelligent Capture & Exchange
AIIM, the leading non-profit industry association for ECM and publisher of AIIM E-DOC Magazine, recently announced the winners of its Readers’ Choice Awards that recognize software and hardware manufacturers in the ECM industry as selected by the readers of the magazine. This year, the Kofax INDICIUS won in the “Forms Processing” category and the Kofax Document Scan Server won in the “Document Imaging” category.

INDICIUS offers advanced separation technology to allow organizations to automate document processing that was previously done manually to help reduce processing delays, lower operating costs and increase overall productivity. In addition, the Kofax Document Scan Server, also a key component of Kofax Intelligent Capture & Exchange, is designed to scan-enable any existing business applications such as content management, enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management and supply-chain management.

Kofax Recognized with Integrated Solutions I-Cubed Award for Innovation
Each year, the Integrated Solutions I-Cubed Awards recognize end users that have implemented outstanding document and content management technology solutions in their organizations. This year, Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union (RBFCU) was recognized for its implementation of the Kofax Document Scan Server by Kofax Certified Solution Provider, Digital Storage Solutions.

Ranked in the top 25 of nearly 9,000 financial cooperatives, RBFCU is one of the strongest credit unions in the country with more than 247,000 members across its 22 branches in Central and South Central Texas. RBFCU installed the Kofax Document Scan Server to facilitate the capture of loan-related documentation remotely from its branches to better service loan requests centrally. As a result, credit union members are now able to walk into a branch, initiate a video conference with a specialist and provide their documentation, which is scanned and integrated with the credit union’s server-side enterprise systems. Members’ loan documentation is then immediately available to any loan officer, no matter where he or she is located.

By using the company’s approach to integrating electronic and paper-based document capture into its mainstream business processes, RBFCU created a bridge between the back office and the front while changing the way they handle documents from batch-based to transactional, which in turn helped increase member service levels.

Kofax Named a Finalist in ECM Connection’s Annual ACE Award Program
This year, Kofax was also named as a finalist in ACE Award Program in the “Banking & Finance” vertical. Judged by a panel of industry analysts and editors and voted by the readers of ECM Connection, the ACE Awards recognize vendors that are making extra efforts to promote the education and adoption of enterprise content management technologies within specific markets beyond their overall horizontal offerings.
